Do you want to speculate on the likelihood of plumbers influencing the Torture Bill vote and the apparent lockstep control the administration has over their party?

Had the pleasure of seeing "In Debt We Trust" last night (9/29) at the Newburyport Film Festival. This movie should be required viewing for all of America! It touches all the bases in describing how our society is ripped off by overpowering Robber Baron Financial Institutions. Ripped off not only because they able to charge credit card users Mafia-level interest rates approved by our lawmakers, but ripped off because for so many tens of millions of citizens, they have no choice but to use their cards as their own personal safety-net: healthcare costs are the primary cause of Personal Bankruptcy and in this Country they consume 16% of GNP or over $6000 per person - the average among developed countries where everyone is covered and where the citizens are healthier is $3000. The middle class is evaporating here because the job market has changed: pay down, heathcare down, pensions down. It is long past time for a serious, focused discussion on Income and Wealth Distribution.
