We must remain vigilant, willing to mobilize against a government intent on strangling free speech, retricting freedom of assembly, and curtailing access to information. Secrecy, staged government propaganda, and managed news repeating the big lie is the stock and trade of every dictatorship in history. Citizens appeased by bread and circus will hardly notice the republic is gone.

They "were warned not to be overly aggressive."

They should be warned on a daily basis about that. The most important tool we have currently, to un-dumb this country, is the activity of bloggers. I would suspect, judging from all the other signs of citizen censorship and the climate of recent years, that these rules would all be enforced with a slant against progressives, truth-seekers, and voices, or blogs, of reform. And of course, that's the main reason to resist any rules changes as fiercely as possible. Like everything else in Bushworld, they want to strangle off our challenges in its brambly undergrowth.
