Those percentages mean very little when you consider that more than %90 of the respective populations live in the areas mentioned. It means even less when the %78 of territory ascribed to Israel iincludes the Negev desert which is more than %55 of Israel's acreage and which is populated by a handful of Bedouin, a handful of Israeli Kibbutzim and a lot of army and airforce training areas. Consequently using my guestimates the Israelis have %23 and the Palestinians %22 of the arable land. Considering how many wars were foisted on the Israelis by the Palestinians and their neighbors (all of which they lost) it doesn't seem as shabby a deal as you would have us believe.
