Genoa: The Internet Response As Bad As The Press

The post below indicts media coverage of the protests in the aftermath of the G-8 meeting in Genoa Italy. Now WebClipping.com, which monitors online news converage offers these statistics.

The G-8 Summit in Italy was just the latest internationalconference to draw huge protests and police-protesterviolence, but only 2,681 of 11,874 online mentions (22.58%)of the summit discussed the protests in any way. Articlesand posts about the convention were much more likely,however, to neglect to discuss another issue - 6,291 (53%)of posts failed to mention where the conference took place(Genoa, Italy.)
