YOUR LETTERS

Dan Beach: “Today was the first blog I’ve gotten complete with your photo. It’s far easier to read and really nicely done. Kudos to your web folks.Great work, Danny, especially the “State of the Media” address which “found”its way to your desk. One of the most hilarious pieces I’ve read in a very long time. Dead on!!

Bradley K Laing: “On the darker side of things, maybe what is happening in Iraq isn’t really democratic — The 1992 book ‘Jihad Vs. McWorld‘ suggested that one of the two force sweeping the world, economic integration, demanded a certain type of government the respected private property, but not necessarily democratic action. Maybe Saddam just abused private property so often in his search for that a modern economy couldn’t work, and his type of government would have to yield to a new type of dictatorship, one friendly to the world economy?”

OOPS: Hawra writes: “Thanks for posting my article on boycotting the Iraqi elections. Just a small note: You entitled it as an article from an Iraqi man. I’m a woman.”
